Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. One year later Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her races.
