Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the time. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The year 2005 was the time she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
